Having an ovolo-moulded top, rare punched-decorated rails with a running dog-tooth and simple four-dot flowerhead design, above a pellet-carved lower edge, on columnar-turned legs, joined all round by plain stretchers.

A band of punched-decoration without any carving is rare on English 17th century oak joint stools.
