Centred by a profile bust of a bald gentleman, achieving a rather manic expression through a furrowed brow and wide open mouth bearing a full-set of teeth, within a roundel, flanked by typical Renaissance foliate scrolls

The panel appears to depict a 'real' person, not a generic representation after the antique. It could possibly be William Sommers, Henry VIII's court jester, who is often depicted with no hair, or closely cropped, with a drawn face, high-cheek bones and pointed chin as shown here
