The 16th century needlework slips worked in coloured wools and silks, applied in the 18th century to a yellow silk ground embroidered with couched cords embellished with french knots, designed with four reserves of botanical motifs including fruiting vine and roses, within a foliate and floral sprigged border, the shaped lower edge with similar motifs, backed with an 18th century block printed cotton
