A rare 15th century carved yew figure, St Anthony The Great, English, circa 1450-1500

Standing straight and tall, with elongated features, long beard, wearing a coptic hood and plain habit, his cloak bearing the tau cross, attended by his customary attributes of book, bell, prayer beads, staff, pig and 'brightly burning fire'.
