Possibly by Willem Wegewart Sr, the flared rim cast with the inscription 'ANNO SALVTIS NOSTRE 1579', (in the year of) above a ribbed body and a lower frieze cast with Renaissance arabesques, harpi and griffins, with a pair of stylised dolphin-form handles, on a spreading circular foot.
